What compliance document covers Tember glasses?
Models C2026, B2026, G2026, P2026 and Y2026 are listed as Category II PPE on Module B EU Type-Examination Certificate CE-PC-260615-499-01-9A. The applicable standard is EN ISO 12312-2:2015 and the Notified Body is CCQS Certification Services Limited, No. 2834. See Compliance.
Can ordinary sunglasses be used?
No. Ordinary sunglasses are not designed for direct solar viewing, regardless of how dark they look.
When may I remove the glasses?
Only inside the confirmed path of totality and only while the Moon completely covers the Sun's bright face. Replace them immediately when any bright point returns. During partial and annular eclipses, keep proper protection on throughout.
Can children use them?
Yes, with close adult supervision. An adult should inspect the filter, help position it before the child faces the Sun and keep it secure.
Can I wear them over prescription glasses?
Yes. Keep prescription glasses on and place the solar viewer over them or hold it securely in front.
Can I cover a phone camera?
For a brief, non-magnified shot, an undamaged filter may fully and securely cover the active phone-camera lens before pointing it at the Sun. Protect eyes separately. Do not use optical zoom attachments.
Can I use them with a DSLR, mirrorless camera, telescope or binoculars?
No. Magnifying optics require a purpose-built solar filter securely fitted to the front. Never look through unfiltered optics while wearing eclipse glasses.
How do I inspect and store them?
Discard scratched, punctured, torn or loose filters. Store glasses flat, dry and protected from heat, pressure and sharp objects. Inspect before every use and follow the supplied IFU and its two-year guidance.
What designs and sizes are available?
Galaxy: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 50 or 100 pairs. 4-Colour Mix: the same sizes. Avocado, Banana, Watermelon and Cherry: 6, 12, 18, 24, 50 or 100 pairs.
Which pack offers the best value?
